Despite the losses, fans of the Nigerian-American singer-songwriter and record producer (Davido) supported and emphasize that Davido remains the best regardless of Grammy wins. Celebrating Davido on X @UTDtrey wrote, “Grammy means nothing, forever the GOAl❤️.” It’s no big deal that Davido hasn’t won a Grammy” – Man insists, Twitter user argues that "it is not a big deal" that popular Afrobeat singer, Davido Adeleke is yet to win the prestigious Grammy award. According to a fan, Daniel Regha  the award is not a yardstick to measure success as he cited examples of celebrated singers who never received a Grammy in their name despite their achievement in the music industry. “Davido hasn’t won a Grammy, that’s no big deal; Lots of music icons like 2Pac, Nicki, Sia, Katy Perry, Bob Marley & many more haven’t won one either despite being on top of their game.  Stop belittling artists cos of Grammys, it’s not a yardstick for success. It is just an award,” he wrote.

Accident cleared the lives of 30 people in Ondo State

  The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ondo state has confirmed the death of 30 persons in a road accident that occurred at Onipetsi, along the Ore-Lagos highway, Odigbo local government area.A total of 28 persons were burnt beyond recognition while two others died while being taken to the hospital for treatment.Two survivors are said to be receiving treatment in an hospital. The accident occurred when two commercial buses had a head on collision and burst into flames.Ondo FRSC Commander, Samuel Ibitoye, said preliminary investigation showed one of the vehicles drove against traffic. Ibitoye said the accident happened on Saturday. He assured that investigation would unravel more details on the incident

Senator Ned Nwoko Dumps PDP for APC

 Senator Ned Nwoko , representing Delta North , has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after over two decades of membership. Nwoko announced his resignation from the PDP in a letter addressed to the chairman of the party for Ward 8, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State. The letter dated Thursday, January 30, stated that the lawmaker is disappointed with the current happenings within the PDP. According to Nwoko, the crisis between members and leadership of the PDP has made it difficult for anyone to foster unity and serve the interests of the people. “My decision to resign is first and foremost due to the deep divisions and factionalisation within the party. This fragmentation has made it increasingly difficult to foster unity and advance the collective interests of our people,” he stated.   Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Muhammed Matawalle, has warned that security agencies will monitor and deal with politicians inciting violence against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. He stated this while reacting to Rotimi Amaechi, a former minister of transportation’s statement that Nigerian politicians must “steal, maim, and kill” to remain in power. He said, “Amaechi and others who think they can manipulate our youth into chaos should rethink their actions.
