JAMB postpones 2025 UTME registration


JAMB POSTPONES THE 2025 JAMB UTME ...

The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB), has postponed the registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to Monday, February 3, 2025, from the earlier date of Friday, January 31, 2025.

The rescheduling of the commencement of the registration was disclosed in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, the development was necessary to allow the Board to implement essential adjustments to its registration templates.

“These adjustments come in light of the recent suspension of certain law programmes at selected universities, as submitted to the Board by the Council for Legal Education.
“Additionally, the Board discovered that some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres had used deceptive facilities to gain approval, prompting the need for further scrutiny and corrections by disapproving such centres.
“The Board acknowledges the disruption this may cause to candidates and other stakeholders and sincerely apologises for any inconvenience.
“The additional time will be used to ensure that all necessary changes are made for a smooth registration process,” the statement partly read.

Nigerian activist Popularly known as VeryDarkMan arrested by EFCC at Abuja

  A controversial social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), is a Nigerian revolutionary, activist, human rights activist, philanthropist and influencer who is a prominent figure in Nigerian civil and political rights. Accused of speaking ill of the country and its goverance has been taken into custody by the Economic and financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
