Nigerians where deported back from US


 The Federal Government has stated that Nigerians who were deported from the United States, are welcome back home.

The Commission stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in charge of such development, adding that FG has already set up an inter-agency committee to handle the matter should Nigerians be deported from the US.“The Government has set up an inter-agency committee, comprising the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NIDCOM, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and office of the National Security Adviser, NSA, should there be mass deportation of Nigerians from the US .”

About 3,690 Nigerians in the United States are faced with deportation as Donald Trump crackdown on illegal immigrants in the country.

Nigerian activist Popularly known as VeryDarkMan arrested by EFCC at Abuja

  A controversial social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), is a Nigerian revolutionary, activist, human rights activist, philanthropist and influencer who is a prominent figure in Nigerian civil and political rights. Accused of speaking ill of the country and its goverance has been taken into custody by the Economic and financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). This was after he was arrested on Friday by officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) at the premises of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) in Abuja. The arrest reportedly stemmed from VDM’s recent public criticism of GTBank over alleged unauthorised withdrawals from his mother’s account.
